We've partnered with No Booze Branding to bring awareness to and encouragement to our local ranches to trade their coolers full of beer at brandings to host a sober branding and make a donation to the non-profit. Also, if there will be alcohol, we encourage the coolers be locked to reduce access to minors.

Alcohol is an intoxicating substance that depresses the central nervous system which means brain activity is slowed down, our coordination is impaired along with judgement and memories when consumed in excess. It is legal for anyone over 21 to purchase and consume.
Alcohol Use Disorder is a pattern of alcohol use that involves problems controlling your drinking, being preoccupied with alcohol or continuing to use alcohol even when it causes problems. This disorder also involves having to drink more to get the same effect or having withdrawal symptoms when you rapidly decrease or stop drinking. Alcohol use disorder includes a level of drinking that's sometimes called alcoholism.
The legal age to consume alcohol in the United States is 21 years of age, yet 27% of people ages 12 to 20 reported drinking in the past year (Source: NIAAA). Here in Crook County, our youth are making healthy decisions and are not drinking. According to the Prevention Needs Assessment, 87.5% of our students from 6ht-12th grade, have not had alcohol in the past 30 days. This trend has improved over the past ten years with 2024 showing an all-time report of no use.
